Welcome Message
Dear friends, colleagues and symposium participants
It is a great pleasure to inform you “3rd Workshop on Radiation Research and its related issues 2020”, which is the first year that will be held via video conferences in conjunction with the 7th Educational Symposium on RADIATION AND HEALTH by Young Scientists in 2020 (ESRAH2020).
Every year since 2018, the Workshop on Radiation Research and its related issues has provided an informational exchange, knowledge and discussion session on a broad range of subjects in radiation on human health, radiation effects on the environment, radiation protection, radiation detection and radiation emergency medicine.
I hope that colleagues, graduate students, and post-doctoral young investigators in various fields will join this year’s meeting to find an opportunity for gaining a better understanding of radiation effects on human body, radiation detection methods and protection regulations. Surely invited lectures program will stimulate your intellectual curiosity and gear up for research in this field.
On behalf of committee members, I warmly welcome all of you to participate in 3rd Workshop on Radiation Research and its related issues 2020.
Thank you,
Paiboon Reungpatthanaphong, Ph.D.
Welcome Message
Dear friends and colleagues,
Welcome to the 7th Educational Symposium on RADIATION AND HEALTH by Young Scientists 2020 (ESRAH 2020)!
The first ESRAH was held at Hirosaki University in September 2014. Since then, the ESRAH is held once a year, alternately at Hokkaido and Hirosaki Universities.
This symposium mainly aims at providing graduate students and young postdoctoral researchers an informational exchange and discussion forum on a broad range of subjects in radiation health, such as radiation effects on the environment and human body, radiation protection, radiation detection, emergency medicine, among others.
Unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to hold international symposium this year. Therefore, we have decided to organize the ESRAH 2020 as an online symposium for 3 days from November 21 to November 23, 2020.
We have also decided to conduct the bilateral symposium on radiation science, which has been jointly organized by Hirosaki University and four universities in Thailand (Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Kasetsart University, and Khon Kaen University) since 2018, online along with the ESRAH 2020.
On behalf of the committee members, I will be happy if we can contribute to development in the field of radiation science through this online exchange of research and information.
Thank you,
Toshiya Nakamura, Ph.D.
